#Crif #Delegation - Official travel of Crif delagation to Israel: meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Last week, President of Crif, as well as members of the Executive Board and regional Crif Presidents, went on an official trip to Israel. On the agenda, meetings with political leaders, from the majority and the opposition, with the representatives of the Olim de France, and with people from civil society. Let's discover the meetings of the official Crif journey.

On last week, the Executive Bureau of Crif and Regional Crif Presidents made an official trip to Israel.

During those few days, the delegation met with President of the State Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Security and Strategic Affairs Guilad Erdan, several Knesset MPs, including Elie Elalouf, President of the Social Committee , the leader of the parliamentary opposition, recently appointed president of the Jewish Agency, replacing Natan Sharansky, Isaac Herzog, and Avoda party chairman, Avi Gabbai.

The mission met with the Army Spokesman at the headquarters of the Army Staff.

The delegation has also been received at the residence of the Ambassador of France Hélène Le Gal for a lunch.

Crif then visited the employment hub of the Qualita association in Jerusalem and met with its President Marc Eisenberg, its vice-president, and its Director-General Ariel Kandel, and visited the Latet association, the first actor of the social action in Israel, chaired by Gilles Darmon.

The mission ended with a visit to the i24news channel, received by its President Franck Melloul for a presentation of the channel, 5 years after its creation, and right after the opening of the American channel.

A 3-day trip, carried out with a particularly intense program, allowed President of Crif and his delegation to hear messages on the Israeli situation and to pass on the messages on the situation of the French Jews, anti-Semitism and campaigns of delegitimization of Israel and boycott. The opportunity to see that the situation of the second largest Jewish community in the world, carried by the Crif is of the utmost interest to Israeli politicians. The mission ended with a dinner with Emmanuel Halperin, General Commissioner of the Cultural Season Israel-France who delivered a brilliant analysis of the overall situation of Israeli society. 

Meeting with Benjamin Netanayhu

June 26th, 2018 - Prime Minister Residence, Jerusalem

On tuesday 26th, the official Crif delegation met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his residence in Jerusalem. During a meeting that lasted nearly about an hour and a half, Crif Executive Bureau met with the head of the Government of Israel on key topics.

Among the topics discussed, international politics, and the risks and opportunities for Israel in the international arena. Israel's relationship with Europe, and France in particular, was also at the heart of the discussion. President of Crif was once again able to express his enthusiasm for the ongoing France-Israel Cultural Season in both countries. The subject of anti-Semitism in France and in the world has also been widely discussed. Benjamin Netanyahu obviously shares the concern of Crif about the current situation of French Jews. Benjamin Netanyahu then answered the many questions from the members of the delegation.
