The CRIF worried about the Iran deal

CRIF calls on the Government to be tough and rigorous in the implementation of control and safety measures.

Following the agreement with Iran, CRIF expresses a serious doubt as to the application of security guarantees and promises on control of nuclear installations.

CRIF is worried for multiple reasons. The repeated intention by religious leaders of the Iranian regime to obtain the bomb with the objective of destroying the State of Israel is a serious and real threat to the people of Israel but also to the whole region and to the world. Moreover, Iran supports terrorist movements in the Middle East and Africa and terrorism in the West.

The critics expressed in Israel, the United States, and the Arab world, testify of the justified concern that Iran accesses to nuclear power and takes advantage of the lifting of economic sanctions to strengthen its financing and its hold on terrorism. CRIF fears a nuclearization of the Middle East which would endanger the democratic nations.

CRIF is concerned that Iran's victory – associated with its historical holocaust denial and Israel delitimization – causes a new burst of anti-Semitism in the world, and particularly in France.

CRIF calls on the Government, which supported a strong position throughout the negotiations, to be tough and rigorous in the implementation of control and safety measures.
