Roger Cukierman on terror in Paris: 'All French people now realizes that terrorism is not only the problem of Jews but that of all Westerners'

"Our country is bleeding all those innocent lives killed by the bullets of these new barbarians, '' said CRIF.

'' No words can describe the horror that befell France. Our country is bleeding all those innocent lives killed by the bullets of these new barbarians, '' said CRIF, the representative body of French Jewish organisations a day after six terrorist attacks in Paris that killed at least 129 peopleand injured 350 moreincluding 99 in very serious condition. 7 terrorists were killed. 
 
French President Francois Hollande called the attacks an '’act of war’' and blamed the terrorist group Daesh which later claimed the attacks. Hollande also announced the state of emergency throughout the country and the closure of borders. 
 
'' The world war against the monstrosity of jihadist fanaticism must become the top priority of democratic nations. We must fight mercilessly and tirelessly for its defeat, '' CRIF said in a statement. '' CRIF shares with the whole nation that national mourning and presents to all the families of the victims its deepest condolences. '' 
 
Roger Cukierman, President of CRIF, told European Jewish Press (EJP), that no special security measures were taken by the Jewish community which, he said,remains vigilant. 
 
'' The Jewish community was not targeted in particular. All French people now realizes that terrorism is not only the problem of Jews but that of all Westerners.''
