#Crif #News - Crif discussed with the Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland about the rise of german extreme right political party

Crif discussed with the Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland, the organisation representing the German Jewish community, after the rise of the german extreme right AfD political party in the last election.

They discussed the rise of the AfD in Germany, the evolution of the FN in France and the positions of these two extreme right parties on many issues, including religious issues, human rights and relationship with Israel.

Crif and the Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland have expressed a strong common position towards these parties which, in the name of the struggle against Islamism, seek to conquer various electorates, sacrificing in their steps the possibility of a Jewish religious practice in Europe. The AfD is in favor, for example, of a ban on shita (ritual).

Daniel Botmann, Executive Director of the Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland, Francis Kalifat, President of the Crif, Robert Ejnes, Executive Director of the Crif, Yonathan Afri, Vice-President of the Crif and Eve Gani, Director of International Relations of le Crif, participated to the talk.

Following the talk, both French and German organizations released a comment in the national media of their countries about their common position of rejection of the extreme right.
