Francis Kalifat, new President of Crif

 

Francis Kalifat was elected President of Crif during the general assembly of the institution May 29, 2016.

 

He succeeds Roger Cukierman who finishes his term June 29, 2016.

 

The new president of CRIF said he wanted "a united, pluralistic CRIF, totally committed to the fight against anti-Semitism and racism and invested in promoting the 'living-together'. "

 

He reaffirmed his will to preserve the political independence of the Crif and its refusal of any dialogue with the extreme-left and the far-right.

 

"My mandate will be of zero tolerance towards all forms of anti-Jewish hate, the obvious ones and the ones concealed behind anti- Zionism. "
