#Crif - Crif at the 2nd edition of the bilateral french-israeli dialogue for fighting anti-Semitism and racism

Crif took part to an institutional working session in Israel.

The second edition of the bilateral french-israeli dialogue for fighting anti-Semitism and racism opened Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in Jerusalem.
 
The French delegation including Patrizianna Sparacino-Thiellay,  Ambassador at Large for Human Rights, in charge of Holocaust Issues, the interministerial delegate of the Dilcra, Gilles Clavreul, Rudy Reitshat, expert in conspiracy theories, and  Crif, visited Israel for two days of discussions and sharing of experiences in the fight against anti-Semitism and racism.
 
Before Israeli diplomats, including Akiva Tor, head of the department of international Jewish affairs and global religious affairs at the foreign ministry, Gideon Behar, chief of the department for the fight against anti-Semitism and the Shoah, Gilles Clavreul explained his action plan, launched a year ago and commented the numbers of anti-Semitic acts in France.
 
Rudy Reichtadt analysed the complotist handling and Crif presented the actions of its digital cell in the fight against hate on the Internet.
 
Discussions, sharing of experiences, proposals for optimization of the processes ... This day, rich in meetings, was rewarding and interesting for both parts.
 
The fight against anti-Semitism and racism against Israel, in France, but also in the world, is an essential fight, which requires collaboration of every moment, for the speech against, for actions from the Net platforms, but also for education and awareness of the population to hate speech on the Internet.
 
On the Israeli side many presentations followed.
 
Ido Daniel, group manager of "Israeli students combatting antisemitism" referred to the work led by its pro active student organization on the Net.
 
Representatives of the Israeli companies "Athena" and "Buzzila" demonstrated tools for moderatiing and reporting hate speech.
 
The leaders of the "Yad Vashem International School" presented educational tools created to fight against anti-Semitism and for the study of the Holocaust.
 
Finally, diplomats from the Israeli foreign ministry shared their studies and related methodologies for fignting and  educating against anti-Semitism.
