Orange –Partner press release

The statement by the President of Orange Stephane Richard that an evaluation of its partnership in Israel with Partner Communications will be conducted will lead to the withdrawal of the Orange brand in telephony in Israel. This announcement is a new and regrettable Orange turnaround.
The CRIF does not judge the economic and/or industrial relevance of this withdrawal, but regrets that it occurs in the context of political pressure on Orange, which the CRIF strongly condemns.
CRIF nevertheless notes with appreciation the information given by Mr Stéphane Richard that imminent investments of approximately $ 10 million will be made in Israeli companies.
CRIF hopes that this decision demonstrates the commitment of Orange not to give in to pressure from those who would like the French operator to boycott the state of Israel.
