CRIF President Roger Cukierman, in a letter addressed to the British Ambassador in Paris, expressed his surprise at the appointment of Islamic extremist Tariq Ramadan as an advisor of the British Government in the fight against Islamic extremism. The long and detailed answer received from the Ambassador explains that this position of advisor to the government had been erroneously attributed to Mr Tariq Ramadan, who had in fact only be heard in the context of a general consultation.
