CRIF MEETS GREENS

« The Greens (environmentalists) and CRIF are agreed on the essentials: the struggle against anti-Semitism and racism and the encouragement to be given to a peaceful solution in the Near East,” reckoned Roger Cukierman, president of CRIF, who was received by Yann Wehrling, the national secretary of the Green Party, at the headquarters of the environmentalist organisation.

The Greens and CRIF were very pleased to note the drop in the number of violent anti-Semitic acts, while recognising that there should be no lowering of the level of vigilance with regard to excesses in the spoken word. They noted that they should be able to join forces in a vast educational effort against all forms of racism.

Roger Cukierman, who was accompanied by Francis Kalifat, the treasurer and a member of the Executive, and Haïm Musicant, general director, invited Yann Wehrling, who was accompanied by Patrick Farbiaz, the Green delegate for international, overseas and antiglobalization relations, to continue this dialogue at a forthcoming meeting with CRIF’S Steering Committee.
