President Cukierman was speaking in front of the foreign media correspondents in Paris.
Following the elimination by the IDF of Sheikh Yassin in Gaza, French President Jacques Chirac instructed the government to strengthen the security around the Jewish community in France.
Mr Chirac's assistants informed CRIF's President Roger Cukierman of this request.
A leader of the Hamas vowed to retaliate for Yassin's death "inside and outside of Israel".
In a related issue, CRIF's Roger Cukierman told the foreign media, "Anti-Semitism will not disappear with the occurrence of peace in the Middle-east. The role of scapegoat imposed upon Jews for the past 2,000 years is much too convenient for lots of people, except the Jews themselves".
CRIF's President paid homage to the "exemplary policy" led by the French government against anti-Semitism. Stressing that young Muslims carried out most of the anti-Semitic attacks in France, Cukierman said the right answer was on three tiers, punishment, integration, education.
