CRIF deplores the invitation of Hizbollah to Paris

It protests strongly because this presence gives a form of legitimacy to a movement which has been characterised by deadly attacks, of which French soldiers have also been victims in the past, and by the violent anti-Semitic broadcasts of its television channel Al Manar.

Moreover, CRIF recalls that Hizbollah kidnapped two soldiers on Israeli territory in July 2006 and that it is refusing to provide any information about their fate, in contempt of all international conventions and of UN Security Council resolution 1701.

CRIF expects that the French government will do all in its power to have these soldiers freed.
