CRIF protests against the presence of Hizbollah in France

CRIF’s member associations wanted to protest against the legitimisation thus given to a murderous terrorist movement, by being invited to sit at a negotiating table.

CRIF also reminded its readers that Hizbollah has been holding two Israeli soldiers hostage for over a year without giving the slightest information as to their fate and that it was this kidnapping which triggered the war in Lebanon last summer.

The publication provoked a reaction on the part of the Federation of French Shiites, reminding CRIF that the Lebanese negotiations did not concern Israel.

On Sunday 15th July, the President of CRIF, Richard Prasquier, joined a symbolic gathering organised by Raphael Haddad, President of the Union of French Jewish Students, who had called on numerous associations – among them SOS Racisme, the Movement for Peace and against Terrorism, SOS Attentats, Ni Putes Ni Soumises, Comité Soudan, Club Convergences – who all gathered to honour “the memory of the victims of Hizbollah, both civilian and military”.
