Together they wanted to share with their respective communities the deep friendship they enjoy and thus contribute to the fight against racism and anti-Semitism. Questioned by the Jewish weekly “Actualité juive”, Cheik Doukouré expressed his “pleasure with the way the movement has developed. We have organised film projections, symposia and many debates. Each time, there has been a massive response from the public. For us it has been a confirmation of the desire in both our communities to get to know each other.”
For his part, referring to the anti-Semitic language of comedian Dieudonné and the Tribu Ka group, Yves-Victor Kamami says: “The only way to block them is, in our opinion, not to confront them but to circumvent them.”
