Education at the National Magistrate’s School

Marc Knobel recalled how the “Net” has been used by extremists since 1995-96. He took note of the special difficulties associated with the international nature of electronic communication and he listed the countries presenting particular difficulties. He noted however that France’s existing legal framework for fighting the propagation of racist and anti-Semitic ideas was well designed. As an expert on the matter, he also recalled what possible action can be taken to detect, moderate, notify, expose and go to court. Furthermore, he spoke of the educational and/or cultural measures that can be put in place to contribute to fighting racist and anti-Semitic content on the Internet.
