Great success for the France-Israel symposium in Tel Aviv

These relations have always been “passionate and agitated” according to the President of CRIF. This observation was approved by Jacques Huntzinger, the President of the France-Israel Foundation, who highlighted the human dimension of these relations.

Jean-Michel Casa, French Ambassador to Israel, while noting the improvement of French-Israeli relations, which many speakers consider goes back to the end of the Chirac years, and underlining the importance of the election of Nicolas Sarkozy, appealed for clear sightedness: “France is not going to distance itself from the Arab world, but intends to develop and strengthen its relations with Israel.”

The organisers had brought together an exceptional panel of speakers. In addition to Eric Raoult, a former minister and president of the Adelmad association, direct witnesses, historians, journalists and, above all, thirteen French and Israeli Ambassadors responded to the invitation from CRIF and the other organisers.
