During their meeting, which lasted almost half an hour, the President expressed his satisfaction for the video tape that had been received and promised that France would continue its efforts to obtain Gilad’s freedom as soon as possible. Noam Shalit thanked him, but Mr Sarkozy responded by saying: “Please thank me only when Gilad comes home”.
