The French Conference of Bishops condemns Iranian negationism

"Today, denying the Holocaust is like justifying Nazi totalitarianism. It seriously undermined the dignity of every human being", said the signatories. They added that they could not "accept, for whatever reason, calling into question this tragedy which struck the Jewish people and ravaged the whole of Europe".

Jean-Pierre Ricard, Archbishop of Bordeaux, President of the French Conference of Bishops (CEF), Philippe Barbarin, Archbishop of Lyon, Jean-Marie Lustiger, Emeritus Archbishop of Paris, André Vingt-Trois, Archbishop of Paris, Georges Pontier, Archbishop of Marseille, vice-president of the CEF, and Jean-Louis Papin, Bishop of Nancy, vice-president of the CEF, signed the letter.
