Crif/Vel d'Hiv - The Vel d'Hiv roundup, in the middle of Paris (VIDEO)

On July 16, 1942 took place the Vel d'Hiv roundup, in the middle of Paris. 13 152 Jews were arrested and taken to Drancy and the Loiret camps before being deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Among them, 4115 children. We shall never forget them.

Crif invites you to

the online ceremony commemorating the Vel d'Hiv roundup and tribute to the Righteous of France

In order to respect health regulations, the annual national ceremony will be held exceptionally without any audience and will be reduced to two speeches.
 
Geneviève Darrieussecq, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of the Armed Forces, will preside over the ceremony and deliver a speech.
 
Crif president Francis Kalifat will also deliver a speech.
 
A wreath deposit will be made. Then Chief Rabbi Alain Goldmann and Chief Rabbi Olivier Kauffman will recite the usual prayers.
 
At the end, everyone will be invited to  sing the Marseillaise (French national anthem).
