CRIF AND EJC MEET EU’S ROMANO PRODI

Representatives of the Jewish communities in Europe and of CRIF, led by EJC President Cobi Benatof, met with Romano Prodi, the President of the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union. The meeting was about anti-Semitism in Europe.



EJC and CRIF, represented by Jo Zrihen, asked the EU to start a three-year program of education to tolerance.

The EU announced a special public opinion awareness raising meeting on anti-Semitismin Europe, on the dialogue between the EU and Israel and on the interfaith dialogue to be held in Brussels, organized by the EU in conjunction with EJC and the Conference of European Rabbis.
