Martine Ouaknine, the newly reelected chairwoman of the Nice-Cote d’Azur-Corsica local CRIF issued an appeal to raise the awareness of the citizens about the urgent need to rally against all acts of racism and anti-Semitism. “Those who spread messages of hatred and of humiliation must be taught otherwise,” she said in a statement endorsed by local elected representatives and leaders of other religions.
