LOCAL CRIF MEETS MUSLIM CLERICS

Dr Albert Roche, President of CRIF-Aquitaine, the local branch of CRIF in South West France, was invited to speak in front of the Association of Muslim Institutions of the Aquitaine region.

Dr Roche said to the 600-strong audience that Jews and Muslims were to live together in France and abide by the laws of the Republic.
The dialogue initiated between Jews and Muslims in the Aquitaine region was very promising and should be continued. “Let us give a chance to intelligence and to open-mindedness. It is through cultural action, that is by the knowledge of each other’s history and legacy that we will be able to peacefully live together,” said Dr Roche.

Dr Roche invited the local Muslim clerics to attend a conference on the Holocaust.
Recently, a group of young Muslims took a trip to Auschwitz under the leadership of the Imam of the Bordeaux Mosque Tareq Obrou.
