NATIONAL FRONT REPRESENTATIVE CONDEMNED

The Court of Appeals in Lyon (South East of France) confirmed a 1,500 Euro (about 1,850 US$) penalty imposed on a local representative of the National Front for incitement to racial discrimination or hatred.

In July 2004, National Front's Germaine Burgaz, 72, said during a meeting of the Regional Council of the Rhones Alpes Region, "Some of our cities host over 65 different nationalities or races. (…) Would there be only to of them, the Arabs and the Jews, our streets would already be put to fire and sword".
