The Struthof Nazi concentration and extermination camp in Alsace (East of France) will become a museum and a memorial, the European Center of the Deported Resistants. It is only in the recent years that the French became aware of the existence of such a camp on French soil. French President Jacques Chirac is due to inaugurate the Center next fall.
