UNPLEASANT INCIDENT, SICK JOKE OR HEINOUS POLITICAL ACTION?

CRIF's President Roger Cukierman asked the manager of a French state-run retirement fund for explanations following the postal delivery of death certificates sent to French citizens living in Israel.

The Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Vieillesse (CNAV) sent death certificates in the name of living people to their addresses in Israel. Several addressees complained to the CRIF. It is not known yet how many people in Israel received such shocking mail, nor why was this mail sent out to them.
