About one hundred demonstrators called for peace in the Darfur region and an end to the genocide which has already caused the death of 400,000 Darfuris and the displacement of 2 million people.
The organisers of the campaign made a clear call for stronger economic sanctions against the Sudan, the base for the Janjawid militias who are wreaking havoc in Darfur, and asking China to respect this economic boycott of the Sudan. Dr Yves Kamami represented CRIF at this demonstration.
