CRIF condemns Sweden’s intention to recognise East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine

CRIF hopes that Sweden, which recently allowed the circulation of a text against Israel that was a borderline case of denunciation of ritual crime, will return to a more balanced position. It calls on all EU Member States to not associate with the Swedish project.

CRIF reaffirms its traditional position that Jerusalem, the historic capital of Israel, must remain united and indivisible. It is only since the reunification of Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty in 1967 that the faithful of all three monotheistic religions are able to worship there in total freedom.
