Ariel Goldman, CRIF Vice-President, representing President Richard Prasquier, went to the Haitian embassy to sign the book of condolence.
Meeting the Haitian Ambassador to France, Gaspard Fritzner, Vice-President Goldman expressed CRIF’s sympathy for the pain of the Haitian people. He hoped that the Haitian people would find the strength to overcome this terrible trial.
Yves-Victor Kamami, a member of CRIF’s Executive Board and chair of the committee for relations with Afro-Caribbean people, took part in a demonstration of support for the Haitian people organised in Paris.
Yves Kamami, on behalf of CRIF, spoke of his deeply felt solidarity with the suffering of the Haitian people. He pointed out that Israeli aid specialists on site had set up a military field hospital, while Jewish associations, in particular CRIF and B’nai B’rith, had mobilised their forces to collect funds from the Jewish community.
