CRIF denounces anti-Semitic attacks in Venezuela

CRIF knows that since Hugo Chavez came to power, the country’s Jewish community has been very worried. It feels particularly threatened by the recent rapprochement between Venezuela and Iran, the very recent expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and the breakdown of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Anti-Semitic, heinous and violent diatribes against Jews and Israel have multiplied and are only adding to this climate of insecurity.

CRIF considers that Jews in Venezuela are in danger. Consequently, CRIF calls on France to exert its full influence to avoid such incidents from being repeated.
