On behalf of France’s Jewish community, Richard Prasquier expressed his strong disapproval of the populist reactions which led to Switzerland voting a ban on the construction of minarets. In his message to Mr Moussaoui, he also expressed his concern that such an electoral result might be instrumentalised.
