The CRIF delegation, which initially regretted that no French Ministers had yet gone to Israel, expressed its satisfaction with the firm attitude adopted by France in supporting United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559.
The day before, accompanied by Director General Haïm Musicant, the President of CRIF was received by Philippe Douste-Blazy, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Roger Cukierman told the head of French diplomacy that CRIF was satisfied with the attitude adopted by France over the new conflict that has arisen in the Near East. The President of CRIF expressed his pleasure that France had supported UN Resolution 1559, which provides for the evacuation of Lebanon by all militias, so as to allow the Lebanese army to exercise its sovereignty over the whole country.
