CRIF supports an exhibition honouring Varian Fry

Varian Fry was an American journalist who, based in Marseilles, France, during WWII, saved thousands of Jews and anti-Nazi militants by helping them flee from Europe and the Vichy regime. Among them were a large number of artists and intellectuals who were able to reach the United States: Hannah Arendt, André Breton, Marc Chagall, Max Ernst, Lion Feuchtwanger, Arthur Koestler, Anna Seghers, Victor Serge…
