Christian Estrosi and Roger Cukierman share to a large extent the same vision of the current situation in the Near East.
Christian Estrosi, who is also President of the governing Council of the Alpes-Maritimes département in the south of France, made an official trip to Israel from May 23 to 27 of this year, accompanied by a senior member of CRIF. He signed three agreements during that trip: one between Nice University’s Teaching Hospital and Hadassah Hospital, another between the Alpes-Maritimes Faculty of Medicine and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and another between the Sophia-Antipolis Technology and Research Park and the Matitop Institute of Technology in Jerusalem together with the Weizmann Science Institute.
Christian Estrosi has indicated that he was intending to repeat a programme of visits to Auschwitz for high school pupils from his region in 2006-2007.
