Cukierman in Israel with leading French political figures: A visit to express solidarity with Israel, from 24 to 26 July

During this fact-finding solidarity mission, the French delegation will meet with Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tsipi Livni, and Deputy Prime Minister, Shimon Peres, and will be visiting Haifa, which has come under attack from Hizbollah. CRIF and its guests will be joining other leaders from European Jewish communities, accompanied by some of their countries’ leading political figures, under the aegis of the European Jewish Congress.

Joseph Zrihen, Vice-President of CRIF, will be leading the large CRIF delegation that from July 24 to 26 will be taking part in a mission to express solidarity with Israel, on the initiative of Israel’s National Tourist Board.

“The French Presidents’ Tour” to Israel will take place from Monday 24 July to Wednesday 26 July in the presence of some 100 Presidents of Associations and other community leaders. Scheduled into this visit will be a series of meetings with Israeli leaders to assess the situation: the Prime Minister, the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Finance.

The presidents will be present for the welcome extended to new immigrants from France, the largest group since the creation of the State of Israel, then they will meet with the Mayor of Haifa.
