At the reception held by Richard Prasquier, President of CRIF, Ehud Olmert declared that he found in Nicolas Sarkozy "someone who is a real, sincere friend of the State of Israel and of the Jewish people…who has said the same thing since he was elected President of the Republic, - and I have a good memory!- as he did before he became President."
Still quoting the President of the French Republic, Ehud Olmert restated forcefully what he heard from Nicolas Sarkozy himself: "Israel's safety is not negotiable."
