Supported by the CRIF and organized at the initiative of the Chief Rabbi of France, this service was and was attended by all Jewish organizations (the central Consistory, the FSJU and the European Jewish Congress, EJC).
This ceremony brought together many VIPs, including Nicole Guedj, former French minister, Roger Cukierman, president of the CRIF who was accompanied by a delegation from its Executive Bureau, Pierre Besnainou, president of the EJC and the new president of the Consistory of Paris, Joel Mergui.
The Chief Rabbi of France underscored the «exceptional courage» of the Israeli Prime Minister whom he described as «a man of hope. When he made concessions that no one had asked him to make, he believed that peace has no price and that true peace comes from the heart».
The Chief Rabbi of Paris, David Messas and Israel’s chargé d’affaires, David Kornbluth, were also attending.
