Levitte, the President's Sherpa

During the meeting, the former French ambassador to the United Nations and the United States discussed the situation in the Middle East with his guests.

As the daily newspaper "Liberation" pointed out, the nomination of Jean-David Levitte as diplomatic advisor and Sherpa to the President was greeted "unanimously, both by the right and left wing".

Jean-David Levitte had already held the same office from 1995 to 2000 for then-President Jacques Chirac.
