Richard Prasquier, President of CRIF, congratulated Cardinal André Vingt-Trois for his election. “We are certain that the relations between Jews and Christians will continue to deepen under his presidency,” he said, acknowledging the ”many initiatives he has undertaken in this area as Archbishop of Paris”.
He added that we know “how deep his friendship is for our community”, before paying tribute to the outgoing President, Cardinal Jean-Pierre Ricard “for his qualities as a man and as a president”.
