Ambassador Tarald Brautaset, who had responded to an urgent request for a meeting from Richard Prasquier, said that his government was opposed to any boycott attempt.
The Minister for Research and Higher Education Tora Aasland had earlier told the Norwegian parliament that the boycott was contrary to all its principles.
