A lawyer by profession, Ariel Goldmann has for a long time been an activist. His father, Chief Rabbi Alain Goldmann, was for many years Chief Rabbi of Paris.
The President, who personally awarded the Legion of Honour to Ariel Goldmann at the Elysée palace, spoke of Goldmann’s role in combating racism and anti-Semitism.
Richard Prasquier, President of CRIF, was present at the ceremony.
