On this last item, Ronald Lauder, on behalf of the WJC will propose the appointment of the President of CRIF to the IJCIC (International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations).
Ronald lauder is a former US Ambassador to Austria and former candidate for mayor of New York. He is also one of the leading Jewish philanthropists in the world. He has contributed enormously to the development of education and Jewish memory in the countries of Central Europe. He has also undertaken major projects in Israel, in particular for developing the Negev and in the audiovisual field.
He was elected president of WJC in 2007.
