THE STATE AUTHORITIES MUST GUARANTEE PHILOSOPHER ROBERT REDEKER’S FREEDOM TO TEACH

Accepting Robert Redeker’s absence from the high school where he teaches, merely because of threats posted on Internet by some Islamist networks, constitutes a serious abdication of responsibility in the face of the intimidation to which he has been subjected.

CRIF asks the authorities to guarantee the physical presence of this philosophy teacher in the high school where he is employed.

(Robert Redeker published an op-ed in French daily Le Figaro, in which he stated that Islam is a religion inclined toward violence)
