The Minister for Education, Luc Chatel, receives CRIF

Among the topics discussed were anti-Semitism in schools, the difficulties some schools have in teaching about the Holocaust in compliance with the official curriculum, activities out of school hours that sometimes take on a very political tone, the case of the negationist DVDs that made their way to certain schools in the south west of France under the disguise of documents dealing with the outbreak of swine flu…The minister informed CRIF that a number of task groups were being set up to respond to calls from local education authorities in case of problems in schools.

It was agreed that close contact needed to be maintained between the Ministry and CRIF.

The President of CRIF was accompanied by General Director Haïm Musicant.
