Crif was invited by the World Jewish Congress to participate to the training session on “Understanding and Responding to Antisemitic Online Hate Speech”, for Community Organisations and Local Representatives, held in Brussels.
Since November 17, 2023, 'Mothers of Hope' have been meeting every Friday Place du Trocadéro in Paris. There remain 134 children, women and men held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. We are waiting for many of you to join us to demand the release of all the hostages.
From Saturday April 13 to Sunday April 14, 2024, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles against the State of Israel. This is the first direct attack carried out by Iran against Israeli territory. Crif shares its full solidarity with Israel.
April 8th and 9th, Crif was invited by the Maltese Presidency of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OCSE), and joined French Minister Aurore Bergé for these interviews during the OSCE conference on antisemitism in member countries, in Malta.
The UN Commission on the Status of Women – CSW was held in New York from March 11 to 22, 2024. Crif was part of the French delegation led by Minister Aurore Bergé and was able to attend the various events organized by Member States and civil society organisations.
On March 19, 2024, the World Jewish Congress (WJC) organized a side event on the sidelines of the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Former French Prime Minister Manuel Valls was the guest of honor on this panel. Crif was also invited to participate.
This meeting with António Guterres was an opportunity to highlight the UN's inadequate approach towards Israel following the October 7 massacre and the organization's late and imperfect response to sexual crimes committed by Hamas terrorists.
Under the leadership of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the world's seven major Jewish organizations formed the J7, a working group against antisemitism. In December, the group met in person for the first time, in Paris.
During these high-level meetings, Mr. Lauder articulated the profound concerns of global Jewry regarding the plight of Israeli hostages in Gaza, seeking the influential intervention of the Arab leaders to secure their unconditional release.
“The surge of far-right and anti-Semitic parties in a number of countries is a shock and a reason for great worry. European leaders must address this problem urgently and come up with a strategy to fight extremism. The future of European Jewry is a stake if these forces are not reined in.
French President François Hollande will meet world leaders at next summer’s 70th anniversary commemorations of the D-Day landings, including US President Barack Obama, Queen Elizabeth II and Putin.
The CRIF will send a delegation to the AJC convention in Washington. During one week President Roger Cukierman and the delegation will visit the American Jewish leaders in New York and Washington. They will also meet with French Ambassadors to the UN and to the USA.
Roger Cukierman will also participate in two round tables at the AJC convention.
