#Crif - Le Président du Crif dénonce une nouvelle résolution anti-Israël de l'Unesco

Une résolution anti-israélienne à nouveau devant le Comité exécutif de l'Unesco.

"I have no doubt that you will give the necessary instructions so that France opposes, on October 13, the draft text submitted by eight Arab countries"

"Cette résolution rend Israël seul responsable de toutes les difficultés en ce qui concerne les lieux saints, alors que ce pays garantit, depuis 1967, la liberté de culte et l'accès à ces sites sacrés pour les croyants de toutes les religions», a écrit Francis Kalifat, dans un courrier au Président de la République.
 
The President of CRIF, the representative umbrella group of Jewish institutions in France has denounced a new resolution on Jerusalem to be presented Thursday for a vote at the Executive Committee of UNESCO, the Paris-based UN body in charge of education and culture, in a letter to French President François Hollande. 
 
"This resolution makes Israel solely responsible for all difficulties regarding the holy places, while this country since 1967 ensures freedom of religion and access to sacred sites for believers of all faiths", Francis Kalifat wrote.
 
The leaders of the Jewish community had already criticized the vote by France in favor of a similar resolution last April. 
 
"After the French vote in April, which raised a furore in the Jewish community,  several ministers said that France had made a mistake,’’ Kalifat added. 
 
"Yourself you wrote on May 6, to the (former CRIF President) Roger Cukierman, that" the position of France on the question of Jerusalem is clear and does not change: it is the defense of freedom of access and worship. Jerusalem, a fundamental city for three religions and that belongs to all believers, Jews, Christians and Muslims." 
 
"I have no doubt that you will give the necessary instructions so that France opposes, on October 13, the draft text submitted by eight Arab countries, showing its rejection of revisionist view of history that damages the struggle of our country for the values of truth and justice, "writes the CRIF leader, adding: ‘’This type of text only increases the difficulties and offers no constructive proposal"...
