#Crif - French media and their covering of anti-Semitism

Over the last few weeks, French media have dedicated a very important amount of papers to their new favorite subject: anti-Semitism.

Over the last few weeks, French media have dedicated a very important amount of papers to their new favorite subject: anti-Semitism.

Sadly, they had enough current anti-Semitic events to talk about. Ilan Halimi* stone memory desecration, new numbers of the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe, insults over social media due to the Tariq Ramadan news, the 2012 anti-Semitic terror attack trial verdict, etc.

Thus, several major french media have titled many of their articles such as "An ordinary anti-Semitism in France, in 2017", "In France, daily anti-Semitism has settled and keeps spreading", "Anti-Semitism or judeophobia?", "How anti-Sionism has become the new anti-Semitism?", and so on.

The daily French newspaper Le Monde has also titled its weekend front page as "In France, a daily anti-Semtisim".

Crif stresses with contentement the covering of the french anti-Semitism and its new form, anti-Sionism and hopes it will contribute to help people understanding the real issues and threats out of it.

*Ilan Halimi was kidnapped on 21 January 2006 by an anti-Semitic Muslim group. Ilan Halimi was held captive and tortured for three weeks, dying of the injuries inflicted.
